PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- A matchup with playoff seeding implications will take place Saturday, when the Philadelphia
76ers host the struggling Chicago Bulls.
The 76ers are one game behind the Bulls for seventh place in the Eastern
Conference and 1 1/2 behind the Indiana Pacers for sixth.
Saturday's matchup will be the rubber game of the season
series after the teams split two games at the United Center. The Bulls have lost four straight meetings here.
Despite
playing with a chipped bone in his left thumb, All-Star Allen Iverson had 31 points and nine rebounds in Philadelphia's 93-81
victory at Cleveland on Friday.
Sharpshooter Kyle Korver collected 15 points and 11 rebounds. Chris Webber, who had
14 points and eight boards, connected on a 3-pointer that sparked a 14-2 fourth-quarter burst for the Sixers, who are seeking
their third straight win.
Chicago has lost four in a row and seven of its last 10 games. On Friday, the Bulls were
dealt a 94-90 home defeat by the lowly New Orleans Hornets.
Kirk Hinrich scored 27 points, but no other starter scored
more than nine as the team shot just 38 percent (26-of-69) from the floor. Tyson Chandler recorded his second consecutive
double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds but committed five of the team's 20 turnovers.
